SLED crime scene agent Kristin Moore testified about a search of Alex Murdaugh's mother's residence at Almeda. She distinguished a blue tarp folded atop dishes in a bedroom storage container from a blue raincoat found balled up in a separate coat closet.

Moore authenticated photographs and described photographing, bagging, sealing, transporting, and processing the raincoat. She identified the physical garment, explained that she added its white identifying tape during processing, and described it as larger than a typical raincoat. Presumptive testing of documented stains, an additional stain, and the entire garment produced negative results.

On cross-examination, Moore clarified that the tarp rested on top of the dishes rather than wrapping them. She acknowledged that she did not test the tarp, knew of no testing by anyone else, was not involved in later processing of the raincoat, and did not show the garment or a photograph of it to Shelley Smith.
